clutch went out?... pics.?

okay so i was cruising on the high way and all of a sudden there was a horrible noise.. sounded like i ran over a 2x4 * alot of banging* ...

anyways i didnt pay any attention suddenly i decided i wanted to pass everyone i pushed the clutch in and there was NO pressure got it home (slammed it into third ) and drove it like that all the way to my house

got under it and looked and these were laying there .. now how much is it going to cost.. to replace .. my friend said he will do it for 100$ .. is that alot( not including parts)

Your slave cylinder exploded. If you get a new one from GM it comes with the master cylinder and a new resivour and it's all pre-bled. Just install it and go.

I've got GM part numbers too.

12527719 or 17527718. One is for the V6 and one is for the V8 but, of course, I can't remember which is which. I believe it about $155 from GM.

Hopefully your clutch didn't go out. One thing for certain is that the slave cylinder is gone. Those pieces you showed are what pushes the clutch fork and physically applies and releases the clutch disc. With that piece broken you can't use the clutch.

BTW, 12527718 is for V6
12527719 is for V8

Punch the part number in at www.gmpartsdirect.com to see prices.

Cant help on getting you a pic but the piece in your picture is what is bolted to the side of the tranny. From there a line goes up under the hood to a resovoir where you fill with fluid. It is a smal white/clear container bolted to the brake boosterIt also connects to the clutch pedal. it should only take you about an hour to change this out at the most. it will proberbly take you longer to get the part and put the car on jack stands.
