BW 9bolt backing plates...

Are these the same for each side? I picked up a 9bolt rear from a 85 Trans am and one caliper is facing forwards and the other backwards! Is it supposed to be like this or is there 2 "lefty" backing plates on my axle? Thanks!

On the '85s the calipers were positioned one on the front and one on the rear. It's correct for that application. The old style backing plates were universal to fit both sides.

My '88 had them the same way. See??

Cool... Thanks Ed! I figured it would probably work but it looks strange. I guess that's cutting corners to save money!
