What is my '92 700R4/4L60 worth?

I am swapping out my 700R4/4L60 for a Tremec 5-speed and would like to offset the cost by selling the auto trans. It is from my '92 Camaro RS and has 49,000 original miles on it. It has a nearly new TransGo shift improver kit and governor that was professionally installed late last summer. The trans also has a Hughes 2500 stall convertor with lockup. How much should I expect for the trans? Convertor? Any feedback will be helpfull! Thanks.

I usually see them go on ebay for $200-300. Do a search on ebay for "700R-4" then click on "completed items" and look for used 700's that have sold in the past. That will give you an idea of about how much people are willing to pay. Just remember that if its not local, you can expect to pay $75-200 in freight depending on zip code if you have to ship it.

Yeah the shipping is what kills the price on a used tranny. I found a place local (Monster Motorsports) that sales rebuilts for 675.00 plus core including a conveter. 995.00 for there hipo tranny, there about 30 minutes from me too.

Thanks for the info...I've now got it listed in the classifieds for $500. One guy says he wants it. We'll see!
