checking hydraulics??

hey guys i think my hydraulic clutch linkage is messed up and causeing me some problems. now how would i go about checking this? and what usually goes bad on these? thanks

there is no linkage other than the push rod that goes from the pedal to the MC

yea i knwo i was just using the word linkage to describe what i was talking about.
