ive got an 84' LG4 Z28 with a nonposi rear end. while the 3.23 gears are ok for my application, i would really like to swap in a posi diff to launch the car harder at the track. are there any posi rears i should be looking for that are a direct bolt-in? i was thinking of a 4th gen unit... it seems like a good choice, since all the LT1 cars came with at least posi and 3.23s. thanks in advance

BTW- i would like to keep the drum brake setup, any posi rears use these kind of brakes also?

 

if you want to keep your drum rear, why replace the whole rear when you can just buy a posi unit? easier then dropping the rear and installing a new one, not to mention connection all the lines bleeding brakes etc....
