3000 stall bit much?

I'm getting a 3000 stall converter along with my rebuilt tranny and I am wondering if it is a bit much. I'm gonna be needing it for the motor I'm swapping in which should be complete by july (see it on another post, 377 solid roller), but I am curious to know what kinda performance I can get with it on a mildly modded L98 *porting, headers, exhaust* and how it would behave on the street. I'm expecting it'd launch like a bat out of hell when I want it to, but under normal driving how'd it react? Should I downgrade to a 2500 for the time?

If it's a 9.5" 3000 stall converter go for it.

If it's a 12" 3000 stall converter don't do it.

I have a Yank SS 3600 just need to install it.

This is a quote from Yanks web site "Yank is now able to offer a converter with the starting line thrust of a 4000+ rpm stall converter with the drivability of a 2800 rpm stall converter." just don't look at the price but with converters most of the time you get what you pay for.
