i found one to fit a 28 spline 7.5 inch 10 bolt and its only like 40 dollars from richmond i was just wondering if that is useable
A mini spool will work, but it is not the strongest setup out there. If/when it gets side loaded with a set of slicks under power it can break. Under 400 hp it should be fine. Add some nitrous and a trans brake and you are on borrowed time. Just be aware that driving any car on the street with a spool is a challenge, and you cannot street drive with a spool in the rain.

what makes it a challange and if i dont have 400 horsepower is it street driveable someone told me that they stress and break really fast on the street
i would think that with any hp driving with a mini spool on the street would not be a good thing. When you go around turns the tires turn at a different rate with the rear end that you have now. With the mini spool the tires have to turn at the same rate all of the time. This puts a lot of stress on the rear. Also driving with a mini spool in the rain would never be a good idea it would make it seem like you were driving on ice.

I have the next best thing to a mini spool and it is VERY difficult to drive in snow. It's not so bad in the rain because it does have some differential action.
It's a PowerTrax locking differential. When ANY torque is applied from the driveshaft, it locks.
On dry pavement, I have to basically coast through turns otherwise the inside tire sounds like a bird stuck under my car.
I would not recommend a mini spool at all for the street. It can easily cause one of your axles to break, then bye bye back wheel. If there was some way to use C-clip eliminators on our cars I still wouldn't recommend using one.
They're not for pavement at all.
