Summit Differential Support Cover Instillation
Summit Differential Support Cover Instillation
Well got one of these since HITHERE know the 7.5 10 bolt aint the strongest thign in the world specially if you are running on slicks. So HITHERE get it no problem, however im confused on the instillation, it has 2 load studs with pivoting shoes facing the bearing cap. Say back it out so it will not touch the cap when the cover is bolted in place, no problem. Install the mounting bolts torque em to 25ft-lbs no problem. Now it says torque the bearing cap load studs to HITHERE maximum of 10ft-lbs, how do HITHERE tighten them? Theres nothing HITHERE can use to tighten them with, thats the best HITHERE can do with out HITHERE camera im hoping somebody is familiar with this piece since its kinda hard 2 understand unless you see it for yourself. Thanks 4 the help.

There's no pic...
If it's like mine, the "load studs" have Allen heads (3/16" iirc). You just tighten them down until they make contact with the bearing caps inside the rear, then slightly more (10 ft-lbs is pretty gentle), and tighten the jam nut to about 35 ft-lbs.
