Part # for TV cable?
I went to NAPA yesterday and asked them if they had a Throttle Valve cable for a 700r4 tranny in a 89' TA. They looked at me like I was growing two donkey ears.
Whats the part #, I didn't see it in GMpartsdirect.com catalog. My car is going on a lift tomorow while my uncle and I change the shocks and struts out. I figure it'll be easy to replace then because the car will be off the ground. I wanna pick it up tomorow.
Still, they guy looked at me like I was asking for muffler bearings or blinker fluid. Shouldn't the NAPA parts man know what I'm talking about?

Don't put too much faith in some of the parts store people. Most I have delt with have been idiots. Anyway, Autozone.com says "not yet available". Try to call your local GM dealer to get the part #. Also you may have to ask for it by kickdown or detent cable. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I was just looking for the same thing. Here's what I found online at NAPA. :

EDIT! It won't post the entire web address. Just go to NAPAONLINE and enter the p/n I guess... Sorry!
Looks like part number ATP 17901, 24.99. Hope that helps!

dont buy from napa, they cant do anything right! either get it from autozone (they have closest to gm possible) and they should have it in stock, or call a gm dealer and tell him what you need and they can usually have it for u within a day or 2 at the most and it only cost me 18 bucks and its gm. cant beat it
