i have a rebuilt 700r4 transmission that has a corvette servo and a little stiffer 2nd gear and im having trouble getting it to shift right. at first i was told i need an adaptor plate to move the linkage where it goes, then i was told i need a shorter cable, i have an edelbrock 600 cfm performer carb and i cant adjust it the way your supposed to because it just pulls it all the way out and makes it shift way too late and so i just had to adjust it by ear till i can get it set right. i called the dealer adn they said they have 3 cables for a 700r4, one for a truck and 2 for a car but one is shorter than the other, i think they are full of crap but thats what they told me so can anybody tell me what i should buy? any part numbers or cable lengths and prices? what do i need to adapt it to my edelbrock besides the adaptor plate? i got it from sonax racing. in summit they have a spectre adjustable throttle cable bracket, part number spe-2428, would that help me any? thanks alot
