Need more info then that ....

Manual Tranny, pull the plug and stick your finger in it. it is located on the side of the tranny, would be the fill hole.

Auto Tranny, there is a dip stick in the engine compartment.

With the car on level ground and with the engine warm and running, pull the tranny dipstick and check the fluild per the marks on the stick. Nothing different then checking the oil .

Also check the remarks by the expects below.:hail: :hail:

actually you are supposed to go through the gears and then check it. its in the owners manual, but he doesnt have that.

Doesn't matter on most all recent GM stuff. Some dodge stuff requires neutral. Most tell you on the dipstick. If you have to add very much, run it through the gears then check it in park.

Why, you need the manual to tell you how to check fluids levels. I guess thats is a good a excuse as any, have the car but the manual is not in my back pocket.

Thanks a lot for the help. I check my oil level in enutral position and I was below the add line... That's probably why my transmission doesn't works anymore. I will try to add some, hope it will works again. I will probably have to put a product in the oil to help my transmission.

if you read the manual, at least in most cars, there is a procedure for checking the automatic transmission fluid. does it actually matter, i dont know. but it does say it.
