Transmission: 700R4

700r4 wont shift into first

I have a 92 camaro with a 700r4 that you can not manually put into first; you try to put it in that gear but the shifter will not budge thanks for the help

linkage.... get under the car and check the cable, it is on the drivers side, you will see it, it is right above the pan
