Best Torque Converter for my 355?

Well I finally got the engine, I just have to drop her in. But I wanted to get an opinion on TC's for my combo. Looking at a smaller diameter one fron Yank, ACT, or Vigilante. Here's my setup...

355 with warmed over vortec heads, Superram upper and runners, Forged flattops, an a 224* cam with .465 lift. It's going into an 87 Iroc slimmed down to about 3400 lbs. Coupled to a 700R and 3.45 9 bolt rear. I have been told a 2600 stall would be good for what I wanna do. that way i can scavenge all the low end torque. I really like my buddies ACT, it gives you streetability but really kicks in when you gun it. What y'all think?

Any of those or a ProTorqe Converter will do very nice. Personally I just put a 2800 Vig. in my '88 383. It blows the M&H's tires off the car. Unless your foots in it, you'd think your driving a stock converter. Very nice piece, expensive but nice.

i would go with an ACT 2800 stall if it is a strip/street.

I have a Coan 3600. They are one of the best in the business. I like mine and it has never given me any problems on the street. I also retained the lockup feature of our trans. But around a 2600 would be good, you may even get it to flash higher than 2600 on the strip.
