I'm trying to find a 9 bolt rear to replace my 3.08 drum brake rear end. I just wanted to know what the codes are on the rear ends to show the gear ratios that came in the rear? I'm looking for the code that's actually on the axle housing, not the RPO code so I can identify a rear that's already out of the car. Thanks.

 

Good luck with the axle tube codes. They identify production dates of the housing and not the diff/ratio.
