700r4 cooler/tcc lockup

Guys,
I have read elsewhere that the 700r4 transmission does not route fluid to the cooler unless the TCC is locked.
Can anyone confirm this?
Ben.

I've read this also and it kinda pissed me off because I've been driving mine unlocked for a year almost now! I'll probably make a manual switch soon because I'm doing a converter soon and probably a cooler also. Thanks for the info man from above.
