Aluminium driveshaft

will a driveshaft out of a 98 to 02 camaro z28 fit in my 92 z. i was told that they are aluminium. i was just wondering because jegs sells an aluminium driveshaft that fits 82 to 02 camaros.

I believe they are the same. It would fit as long as the spline count is the same. Even then you could just change the yoke as long as the length is the same.

what about if u have a th350 tranny. can u use the ls1 driveshaft but change the yoke? if so which yoke would i use?

Just check the spline count on the th350. I'm not sure how many it has but as long as the yoke and the tranny have the same number of splines it's good to go.

I just put a 02 LS1 aluminum driveshaft in my 91 Z-28. It was 3/4" shorter than the steel one but the yoke that came with it was longer (made up the difference). The rear u-joint is an inside clip (saginaw) versus the stock outside clip. I found the correct u-joint to fit my 12bolt from Neapco.
