T56 install update/ how do u remove shifter?
ok. the mcleod twin disc clutch, pressure plate and flywheel are installed, torqued and loctited.
I tried to lift the tranny up but the shifter hits. I dont want to extend the hole...and im not sure how to take the shifter off....
can anyone clue me in on how to remove the shifter on a T56?
i removed the 4 outside bolts. Do i have to remove the 4 allen bolts under the little shifter boot?
with the shifter off...it looks like it will go up real smooth.
only problem i had tonight was one of the bellhousing/tranny bolts did not clear, and it could not be torqued down all the way. so out came the dremel as i buzzed away at the aluminum.
thanks for any help,
Rick
also, someone refresh my memory on the sensors.
3 on driver side, 1 on pass?
reverse lock out, cags, speedo and then Reverse lights on passenger side....right?

What specifically about the install do you want to know? The sensors? Yes, you have it right. Only concern yourself with the VSS and the reverse lights. I just force my way through the reverse lock out. Everything else went as expected. Pedals were a bitch, and I think I got it in a bit crooked and needed to drill a new top hole bolt that is about 1/4" from the original. No biggie. I followed the guides, and used the "template" but in honesty, bolt up the pedals then mark the points to be drilled out because the "template" in the carpet is off. If you do that, you'll likely not have to drill a new top hole.
