ok,
so i pull down my 700r4 last night. i ended up snapping the cable on the right side. Detent cable? It's the one that goes to the throttle body.
anyways, i guess checker has it for $20. So then after i get the tranny out, i look at my new tranny and see that it doesn't have the same tailshaft. Its missing the holes where the torque convertor bolts in!! So i unbolt the old tailshaft and when i pull the little ring for the electro speedo off the shaft, snap, it cracks.
!!!!
ok so then i look on the "new" tranny, inside the tail end of it, and i see a hole bunch of little cracks all across the top inside of it!! Should i be worried?
I'm so tired of every project taking a week or 2 longer than it should be. today's sunday, and there are no tranny shops open.
jus can't get this damn thing fixed.

Yes and Yes; TV cable and detent cable are the same thing, just 2 different names.

ok, so i get the new TV cable ($44 bucks at GM dealer), bolt everything back up, and find my shifter cable all frayed. i guess when i was pulling it out, it got caught up on the tranny and messed it up. so i guess i am gunna have to wait till friday, cause i don't have $53 more to spend. i don't even have money for FOOD!!! damn this car.
can't wait till payday.
ps.
the tranny dipstick tube took me about an hour an a half to get in.
