recommend procedure for tanny service

my tranny is a new rebiult 700r4 with 15,000 miles already on it and the fluid is losin the pink color so should i just use the t-tech machine that takes 100% of the fluid out or drop the pan and replace the filter since the tranny is new. im not sure of which servive to do

for starters the fluid flushing NEVER gets 100% of the fluid out, it also throws the sediment in the pan around, youve got fluid in the cooler lines, torque convert, bout 2 quarts there alone
as for 15000 miles color is gonna change slightly...figure this, youve got high temps, clutch packs(friction)and grinding metal in a since....as long as it aint black and burnt smelling and you aint driving the s--t! outa it, your gonna get a hell of a lot more miles from it than that before its time for a service job. 15000 miles is just getting good and broke in

i work at a dealer and we have tranny flushing there and ours replaces ALL the fluid. it's a pressurized system that pumps the fluid untill it starts coming out good, then they fill it back up with new fluid. so is that what u're talking about?

also i have about 66k miles on my tranny and i've been told NOT to do a tranny flush bcuz it might remove the dirt from wear spots and if it's gone the tranny might start slipping and stuff. anybody know if this is true or not?

I work at a tranny shop and we get to many rebuild jobs from those that have had them flushed. the idea of a tranny flusher is good, as for flushing it does not remove the fluid from the torque converter, and as for high milage service yes the possability of having probs afterwords is likely

about 6 months after i bought my car i did the tranny flush first, then dropped the pan and changed the filter. i have no idea if mine has been rebuilt or what, but the fluid change hasn't affected the tranny's performance.

"whenever the fluid is changed....so should the filter be."
