700r4 & EMC

After reading the posts on thridgen I have a question. I’m swapping my 305 TBI from my 89 Camaro RS to a 1978 sbc 350. The motor has been completely rebuilt, bored 30ths, new cam, heads complete rebuild, port& polished, new RPM Air Gap intake, carb, headers etc. As I do not need any of the pollution control system my question is to do with the 700r4 tranny. If I’m getting rid of the EMC dose this affect the transmission, if so how do I over come any problems that my occur with shifting and tc lock up? I also want to leave the fuel pump in and put a regulator on is this possible

i think you need a tc lock up kit from b&m, the rest is history, i took all the electronics out of my 86 and all i needed was a carb, and a dist with a secondary vaccume advance......other than that you should be fine... "actually i never used the tc lock up kit and it ran fine"
