heres what I have:

TH-350 (used, condition unknown)
shifted manually
no down-shift cable
no vacuum to modulator


it seams to be holding gears ok (no slipping), but when shifting from 1'st to 2'nd it is very sluggish (about 2 seconds), is there anything I can do quickly (before tonight) to help this problem. I know I should rebuild it with a race pack and shift kit but that will be over the winter this year.

would hooking up the modulator help with this ???

Are you saying the 1-2 shift slips?, or it is just a "delay" in the shift?
