Transmission Diagnosis

I'm having a problem with my TA and I need some advice on how to find out what is wrong. Basically what it is doing is this. At low speed it pulls, but as you gain speed it will not accelerate. The more gas it gets the higher the revs go, but there is no transfer of power to the rear wheels. It shifts fine and doesn't hesitate or do anything abnormal as the gears change, there is just no pickup. Has this 700r4 finally bit the bullet? If anyone has some ideas on how to check this thing out let me know. I'm going to pull the codes on the engine tomorrow to get an idea of what the engine is doing. The car is a 91 Ta 305 with 130,000 miles. I also put a new filter and a vette servo in not long ago.

Burnt up clutch packs. They are grabbing at lower speeds, but slipping as demand (throttle) increases. If this is all that is wrong, you can replace them. I think this is where your problem lies.
