Iroc posi in Caprice rear?
If this isn't appropriate for these message boards, please just email me!
I was wondering... I know nothing about rear ends (haha) and I am a little confused as to what you can and can't do (hahahaha).
I have a 3:08 posi in my (now dead) Iroc. It is tight and trouble free, and I was wodering if I could simply switch the guts into my 1985 Caprice wagon's rear...?
What would have to be the same to do so? Both 9 bolt or something like that?
Thanks again!

I would say with 99.8735 % certainty, the Caprice wagon is an 8.5" 10 bolt, so no it won't accept a 7.5" carrier.

A 2nd gen Camaro will work, as it is 8.5" rear. Lots of GM trucks will work too. Grand Nationals, Olds 442 etc. Monte's are 7.5" so no they won't work.
