Inexpensive Torque Converters!

I was searching ebay today and i came across these torque converters and i wanted to hear some input from you guys. They are fairly inexpensive, so will i be getting what i pay for? Do you think i would run into any problems with one of these in my car?
They are only about $150, compared to about $350 out of Summit or Jegs. Any input is helpful!

Well, you could take a chance that you're buying junk on ebay, or you could just go down to your local chevy dealer and buy the vortec 4.3 V6 converter for about the same money and know exactly what you have.

There's a good possibility that's exactly what this is.... except that if you go down to the parts store and buy it as a rebuilt mini-van converter you can get it for $89.95 or whatever, but this guy has figured out how to sell a $90 piece for $160.

Pretty good business plan if you ask me.

Thank you!

Would you recommend the 2100 stall speed or the 2500 stall speed for my car(details in signature)? Also, does anyone know the stall speed of the OE converter?

i've used the 2100 rpm one in mine for 2 years. has held up fine. even on n2o. the lock up just gave out on it. because i was locking it up at 3000 and using the n2o during launch. other than that the converter itself looked great inside. stock converter stall is about 1100.

I use the 2500 in my IROC 355 TPI, it's a little looser than the 2100 and is from the high performance line so it's got the furnace brazed fins and will hold up a lil better, I doubt your peak torque is below 2500rpm so the closer to peak torque u are the harder u will launch, I'd cry if I had to go back to the stock converter I'm throwing 518ft lbs torque on nitrous at that thing running 12.8's n no trouble so far, n it footbrakes at 2400rpm.
