Gear Ratios

Well today i was taking the back plate off the rearent to change the seal and fluid and i come to discover my real gear ratio. For the past year everyone has been telling me since its a 9bolt rear and my uncle who special ordered it said it was a 3.2 something that it was a 3.23 ratio. Another reason why we figured so was because it did quit well off the line. What i discoverd just a few minutes ago was that its really a 2.77 ratio!!!
O well, my car is fast enough for now the way it is. I guess thats also why i can burry the 140mph speedo no problem.

Does anyone think a 2.77 ratio will really set me back in the 1/4? Im guessing everyone would recomend a better ratio like a 3.27 or a 3.45? Also is it really expensive to change from a 2.77 to a 3.27 or 3.45? Thanks
