Paging all those who have the POS Hurst TH400 conversion kit
Paging all those who have the POS Hurst TH400 conversion kit
Well, in short this thing is a POS
first i have to source a "secondary" transmission crossmember from the yard because my car didn't come with one and now the torque arm bracket is just way way off
Those of you who are running this kit can you explain to me if you had to drill new holes or what? i am reading the directions correctly and i am not referring to the inner torque arm mount that (in my case) you have to drill out
rather the torque arm outer bracket that slips into the hole and then should bolt on to the Hurst bracket is totally off
help please

Isnt the hurst adjustable? The B&M is. I went both home made and B&M right before the camaro got crunhed Had no problems with the B&M just had to use a 200c crossmember, luckty for me a had a few.
FINALLY some people on the thirdgen emailing list responded to me and i also talked to those morons @ hurst
the reason why i cannot fit my torque arm bracket to the hurst bracket is because THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT THINGS
they (hurst) did the swap on a 82z28 and decided to just think that every torque arm bracket from then on works the same....
So for those in the future who would like to buy this piece of $hit i am advising against it as it is not worth the trouble/hassle IF you dont have the correct parts to go with it since they dont supply them all. Save your money and get something better
