After using Hanlon's video and rebuild kit on my WC T5 I finally put it in the car the other day. Well sounds like it's gonna have to come out again sooner or later (probably sooner). 2nd gear makes some strange rattle like noises, and 4th grinds almost everytime Plus it wants to pop out of 3rd sometimes. Other then that... it leaks out the front somewhere. Probably from the input shaft retainer. Damn...

Soo.. any ideas why 3rd and 4th are so fubared ? PLus why ONLY 2nd would emit funky noises ? lol

 

im far from an expert and no smart *** comment intended, but maybe you put something in wrong? im thinkin about rebuilding my tranny myself as well, but not sure if i can tackle it alone
