Car: 84 T/A, 87 iroc-z, 86 turbo z-28.
Engine: 5.7, 5.7, 6.6
Transmission: t-5, 700r4,manual shift th350
Axle/Gears: 3.73, 3.52, 3.23
84 T/A mod replace T-5 with T-56
I built a decend 350 for my 84 T/A But it gernaded my weak t-5 tranny I wanted to know if a T-56 (six spd) out of a 4th gen will fit perfectly or if you can give me a measurement between the bell housing to the center of the stick shift. I can have the trannymount relocated and the drive line short'n. The local recking yard is selling them under $350.00. The 350 is out of a 72 malibu. your responce is well come thanks.
I have been reading bits and pieces on other T-56 in a 3rd gen f-body but Can anyone give me a complete list of things which would make it work and if it is worth my time?
