art carr shift kit?

my tranny guy told me that the art car shift kit was better than the trans go, does anyone know anything about the art car piece? he said that the trans go will probably start biving me problems after six months whereas the art car wont.

Trans-Go has taken Art Carr to court (4 times that I am aware of) for taking/using/repackaging/misrepresentation, etc. of Trans-Go Shift kits and products. Art Carr "does not" believe in accumulation in his units or valve body kits. From my "personal" experience from seeing his transmissions (about 75) and some of his products, and from the numerous "complaints" I have heard over the years about his service or lack there of, I would "stay away" from Art Carr. The "good news" is he is just about finished in this business. You can ask around about him or his products to verify what I have said. True, he did do some things right, but only for those whom he perceived could do him "good".

Does he like B&M?, or Superior? If he does, then he will "not" like Trans-Go in most cases. There is a question in this industry that if you like aforementioned companies, and not Trans-Go is most likely due to not understanding "accumulation". Trans-Go is probably the "only" aftermarket company that addresses accumulation that I am aware of, which is what gives you controlled firmness/smoothness at different throttle openings. All OEM transmissions (any company) work with accumulation (some better than others), so why not try to work with or improve it, instead of "eliminating" it, as so many of the so-called "performance transmission builders" do. As to your question? Yes, he wants you to buy from him, problem is that he does not know what he is talking about on this. Do yourself a "favor", and go with what will work and not possibly break things, or bring unnecessary problems.
