when my front seal blew out, i replaced it, and now the tranny wont shift out of 1st until rpm's reach 4k. And it slips pretty bad sometimes too. The fluid level is fine, but tranny leaks a little from around the pan(i replace fluid that's lost very often) what do you think guys? is it shot? or is it screaming for a rebuild?

If this is an automatic are you filling up your torque converter before installing it?

With the TC you wouldn't know till it was too late. Even if you filled it up after it was started up then the TC would get screwed up as soon as you started the car. It would be too late to fill it up then. But if it was filled up before you put it on then I don't think that is your problem.
