Carrier Install

After busting a shim, I want to make sure I get it right. When installing the carrier, do you put the shims in place first and then put the carrier in, or do you put the carrier in first and slide the shims in?

Thanks,
Scott

It doesn't matter as far as the finished result; just do it however they'll go in, without mangling the thin shims. Usully it's easiest to put the carrier and shims in together.
