driveshaft support arm bracket???

k u no that suppot bar that runs right beside your drive shaft, k now right at the end by the tranny they have a bracket thing. and my drive shaft u joint near the tranny scraps it when i got WOT from a stop. i think the guy who did the tranny swap left the old bracket and thats why its scraps it. my question is should i replace it? with what one? or could i just cut it down my self? also does anyone know y it only hits when i romp the gas??
thanks

you're saying your trans has lateral movement only under hard acceleration? doesn't really make sense to me or maybe i didn't understand what you were trying to say. if it have upward movement i'd suspect a trans mount is broke. might help if you took the time to say what sort of car/trans/ engine combo.
