When I go from Nuetral or Park to Drive or Reverse, There is a noticable clunk. I thought it was normal, but it seems to be getting louder. It also makes the same noise sometimes when I downshift or let off the throttle. Can anyone tell me what this is and if it's serious? If something is going to break, how long do I have? Thanks!

have you tried checking your u-joints out first? alot cheaper than a rear or tranny problem. if your joints are AOK then i'd suspect the rear.

How do I check the U-joints, is it just an obvious visual inspection?

Also check the tranny mount
