NWC vs. WC t5's

i hope someone can answer this question. i was reading up on t5's and found out they upgraded the bearings in the t5 in 88. the older t5's are NWC whereas the newer ones are WC's. if i understand correctly WC means better bearings. I just bought a used t5 from an 84 z28 and am rebuilding it for my 92 RS with a 350 tpi. can i rebuild it with the WC rebuild kit????
