My buddy tried to use his flexplate out of his 86 monte on his 350 and it didn't fit, his 305 is not stock is old one threw a bearing so the flexplate from his 200r4 could be diff.....he took the flexplate i was going to use on my 350 swap and it fit his 200, but was VERY tight.....any flexplate for a 2 piece crank should work correct? any? is there any special balancing or size differences? my 305 is 1 piece seal...so my current flexplate is useless....he's saying the 2 piece i was going to use is VERY tight in the bellhousing.....are the 200 and 700 bellhousing diff? he's also saying his starter didn't work with the pre-87 flexplate....i was under the impression the starter would work assuming it had room.....any info would be appreciated

 

all one piece main seal flex plates are the same all 2 piece are the same (except 400) and the 1 and 2 piece rear main seal flex plates don't interchange nor does the 400 interchange with anything else.
