Axle/Gears: stock pegleg 2.73 drum (temp)
gear/posi swap vs rear swap

I want to know the pros and cons of each.

Well the pro's are in favor of dropping a used in. Cheaper probably set up correctly, fairly easy to do. The cons are you have a used one now, who knows how long another used one will last.
