glide into second?

Axle/Gears: 4.10
glide into second?

i ahve a 3.4 87 camaro with a rebuilt 700R4 and i noticed lately that it seems to sort of glide into second gear. is there anythign simple i can do to stop this without putting a shift kit in? i tried adjusting the cable without any luck

When does this happen? at part throttle? at WOT? Describe what it does exactly a little more?

well, it does it the worst at WOT but still some on the street. do u think my tranny cable has to be adjusted? thats what someone told me but who knows.....

The first and most important step is to have the TV cable adjusted correctly. Then after that if it still does this, then a Corvette servo will improve the 1-2 & 2-3 shift at pretty much all throttle openings.
