While installing my transgo shift kit, a pin must have fallen out of the transmission in the car. The pin is an 1 and 3/4 inches long, with out any lands. Just a smooth straight pin. I have absolutley no clue where it came from. The transmission is a 700r4 with the 1st style valve body in an 86 iroc 305 camaro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its probably the accumulator piston pin for the 3-4 accumulator. Look up into the case and you will see a piston that looks just like the one in the 1-2 accumulator. Check to make sure the pin is in the center of the piston (just look at the 1-2 accumulator for reference).
Thanks for the help GMTech, but i have another question, when i put my car into overdrive i can feel all of the shifts but in third gear the tach will hit 3000 rpm and just stop accelerating, this is at wot. even when i shift it into 3rd manually the tach stays at 3 grand. And when im in overdrive, itll downshift into 3rd at 1500 rpm but when im in overdrive taching 2 or more grand i dont get a downshift even when i punch the accelerator. The car shifts into every gear at partial throttle. With the old setup in the trans, at wot throttle there would be a sudden burst of power, but now theres no shift at wot in 3rd or 4th. What do you think?
I also checked the tv valve with the pedal on the floor, it was at max tv at max throttle. 3rd gear feels really slow, could it be because of the 3.23 rearend? Or is the shift kit working the way it was designed to do? How much would a trans check up cost me? Im really hoping that somebody can help me, im so nervous to drive the car anymore.
