need opinions on gear clashing....

I put in a new clutch kit about a month ago and the groaning/whining and gear clashing disappeared (with the old clutch it was mostly 2nd gear but it occurred in others as well). THe springs on the clutch fork were not out far enough to hold the fork in the bearing groove tight but I bent them out before putting in the new bearing and then it fit real snug. Everything, including the disc splines were greased up nice.

Now, after 4 weeks of no problems, I am getting clashing again in 2nd only (usually only when cold. Not too bad when warm). No groaning or whining, just clashing in second.

I am thinking the synchro is on its way out but could it be anything else?? If the hydraulics were going, could it cause this? Although, would't it be in all gears then?

I am just puzzled as to why everything was sweet and now suddenly it isn't.

any opinions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

anyone?? I would really appreciate some input or advice here from those that are knowledgeable about tranny's.

Could the clashing (right now only in one gear) be anything other than the synchro.

What are the symptoms of a weak hydraulic system? Could it be that?

thanks for the reply this post was getting lonely! Yeah, when cold (for the first 5 min or so) it will do it even driving very easy nad accelerating very casually. I am assuing the clutch is releasing fine since it is all new and greased up. I don't have chatter anymore either (the old one did cuz it was glazed).
