Hey my car is at the transmission shop and i have to let him know what to do fast. The problem is: i took the car there to have a B&M shift kit put in and he found a few larger pieces of metal in the pan. The one piece is a little coil off a spring, and the others are little pieces about 1/4 inch long that resemble a little tab. Im not sue what these are off of but will it be dumb to go ahead and have him put it in? The car shifts fine and only has 42,000 miles. Thanks

Well my 700r4 just bit the dust. I am also doing the t-5 swap im in the process of gathering all the parts right now. I just found a t-5 with 1500 miles and most of everything i need for the swap for 500.00 bucks from on the board. I am picking that up sunday. Hope fully I can start working on it next week.

Look for a worldclass t-5 from a iroc or z28 dont get a v6 one. You will also need the flywheel, shifter, bell housing, tranny mount, clutch pedals, and hydrolic cluctch assembly, and a clutch.

Check out this link this is the best instruction on how to do the swap I have seen so far: hope that helped

I don't know what kinda money you're lookin to spend but a friend of mine is probably gonna have a T-56 setup for sale fairly soon. I think he said he's gonna be looking for about $1200-1300, and this is a trans with less than 20k miles. Tougher than a T-5 and only slightly harder to swap in....look for "Rod 95 Z28" on AIM if you're interested.
