18x11 in rear?

Guys,

Does anybody know if 18x11 will fit under the rear with a 6.5 inch backspace? I have been trying to get 18x10.5, but the Forgestars that I want don't come in that size. Only 18x10 or 18x11.

I have a racecar so I don't mind lots of BFH and even some trimming.

I'm thinking OFFSET +13 (=6.5in BS ) up to OFFSET +19 (=6.75BS)(because I can move the wheel OUT with spacers to get it away from the body and bumpstop)

I have adjustable panhard bar so the lowered car is already centered..

AND I don't mind rolling fenders...

thoughts? if this works, I will publish this for everybody to stuff BIG 315 under the rear...

Re: 18x11 in rear?

After taking a bunch of measurements with my Wheel Wizard, i don't believe 6.5 is possible. I think i'm going to need to go with 6.375 BS (or 9.5MM offset) and then adjust it outward with small 2MM spacers (or 5mm spacers) to get the wheel away from the inside fender. i don't think it'll tuck, but it will be close and I can roll the fenders. I don't think there's any other choice, but speak up if I'm off on these calculations.

Re: 18x11 in rear?

Hey Brian,

I am currently running 18x10.5 with 6.5 inch back spacing. I have a 315s mounted, as well have done the BFH mod. If i could do it all over again i would have gone 18x11. My rear wheels and tires are flush with the fender(but not tucked) and will have to be rolled. I dont see why i couldnt fit a 18x11 in the back with slightly more back space. Demensions of the rear end is stock. Hope this helps.

11" wheel needs 7" backspacing to tuck under the rear fender. Cut off the bumpstops, hammer the front inner fender.
