86 torque converter in an 89?

Transmission: 700R4
86 torque converter in an 89?
I'm wanting to borrow a vigilante converter from an 86 Iroc to use in my 89 Iroc. Is there any possible problem with it not working? Were all the input shafts the same on 700Rs through those years?

input shaft spline counts
the 82-84 model year 700r4's came with a 27 spline input shaft. Everything from late '84 and up will have a 30 spline. Shouldn't be a problem!
