Lifetime Transmission Fluid

ok... so im talkin to my bro about his car.... '00 bmw 328i.. apparently these freakin cars have lifetime transmission fluid where the tranny doesnt need to be serviced... the tranny is actually sealed so that means no dipstick no nothin... basically so no grease monkey , like myself, will go snoopin around in there and mess somethin up

soooo....
anybody out there think this could work in our 700r4s its a synthetic transmission fluid but i dont remember what weight it is... any opinions/thoughts feel free...

Car: 1991 Corvette Coupe
Engine: L98
Transmission: 700R4/4L60 same trans different name
ummmmmmmm no

i have no idea why they are called sealed units because they truly arent

they just dont have a dipstick

saturns have them (and i should also add newer GM vehicles)

in order to check the fluid, you have to leave the engine idling, put the car on the lift, open the a drain plug, and if any fluid pours out, the tranny has enough

they also have a fill hole

confusing yes, i know
just another dumb**** idea brought to you by people who know nothing about cars

Ahh thanks for enlightening me... i wonder if this fluid is just somethin that you can add into any other AT and not worry about servicing your tranny anymore...

Their "lifetime" transmission fluid is meant to last 1000,000 miles, that's what they consider the lifetime of a vehicle.

Also its probably not the same kind of tranny as a 700r4...as in at the ZF plate by my work they build these wierd GEARLESS trannies...those NEVER need fluid change...Due to the fact that they dont use gears and clutch packs...I cant remember what they call the things though....They have some stupid name for those trannies
