3rd gen to 4th gen rear diff interchange?

Transmission: 700r4, 700r4, T-56
Axle/Gears: 3.07, 373, 4.10
3rd gen to 4th gen rear diff interchange?
Would I be able to swap my posi carrier and gears into a 4th gen housing? i can get a 4th gen open rear with discs for 15 bucks and i was gona get it for the brake upgrade...will this work? i know the axle lengths are different for the two but are the splines the same? would i be able to do it with different axles?

hmm well i honestly have no idea what year car my rears out of.. haha but the 4th gen rear is a 95 v6 rear.. whats the spline count on em?

well crap.. i really doubt mines that new, guess i'll pull an axle n count ne way.. dont suppose anybody makes 26 spline axles to fit a 4th gen rear do they? do they make the slp posi units with 28 splines? how are they quality wise anyone know? any better then stock?
