Axle/Gears: 2.73 :-(
3.73's in the bird finally!

Well, I broke the pinion on my 3.45's this weekend. I figure thats a good excuse to get some 3.73's put in. Anyway, all you guys with 9-bolt rears, did you have trouble finding gears for this rearend? Driveline shop had to order them in for me. Anyway I'll keep ya posted on the difference it made when I get the car back, probably be fri.

Well, its definately a noticeable difference!!! I'm in 5th gear all over town now, plus it rips through the gears exceptionally faster than with the 3.45's. I say its definately worth doing.

I agree,, I think they are actually 3.70's.. At least that's what Miles sells.

I don't know, the driveline shop told me 3.73's. I do know its a GM part they got.

take the gm part number and look it up online, that will tell you for sure what you have

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.23
I think Randy's Ring and Pinion carries 3.73s for the 9 bolt that's what they told me when I bought them. I'm to lazy to take them out of the box and count the teeth and divide out.
