I just bought my '85 Camaro 2.8L about a week ago, and all was going well (Well, No AC, but it's cold anyway...) until this morning. My dad's driving the car, and of course he shifts the thing to OD, and the car goes for a second, and then power ceases to go to the rear wheels. It just acts as if it's in Neutral. Every other gear works (1, 2, D, P, N, R) just fine, but in OD it still acts as if it's in neutral. I've searched a bit and have kind of gotten the idea that it is caused by the TV cable and it needs adjusting. Is that all that can cause this, or am I looking at a potentially serious problem?
