Help me here

My memory is failing, I think what I am wanting is SSM lift bars, I'm not sure,

I have a ford 9in that I want to put in my bird but I want to get rid of the torque arm. The kit I am thinking of uses 2 weldin bars from the axle tubes to a cross member between the SFC's, Its almost a non adjustable 4 link kit. Help Me here. Old age sucks.

Thanks
John

not sure about the lift bars, but i know you can eliminate the torque arm with a 4 link or ladder bars. why are you wanting to get rid of the torque arm?

I thought it would be easier to install, the 9in. Would it be easier to fab up a bracket to mount the TQ arm. I can't afford a new mosier, but can find the cash to modify a 9in, I have spare 83 rearend, to remove the brackets from.

if i were going to install any rear i ithnk i'd stick with the torque arm, maybe aftermarket ,like spohns. yes i'd make something to attach it to the rear, on most if not all rears i've saw the torque arm bolts to a bracket and that bolts to the rear, usually to 2 tubes welded to the rear. look at a few catalogs or web sites and you ought to get a good idea of what's involved. you can buy the torque arm to rear bracket seperately and use it as a locating fixture.
