Where to find the cheapest T-56

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting a T-56 for my 89 IROC. I was just wondering where I could get the cheapest used one at. Or cheapest new one....any ideas would be appreciated...THANKS

At a junkyard. Find a wrecked 4th gen and use one of those.

Transmission: 700R, T56, 700R4
If you're good with tranny's you can pick up one that needs some internal work for REAL cheap and just fix it. I bought my T-56 for $500 (wouldn't go into 4th and kept popping out of 3rd) and stuck a 3-4 shift fork in it ($20 part) and have been driving it for 3 years now, and catching 3rd on a very regular basis.

Not only am I looking just for the tranny, I need the parts to make the tranny swap from a T-5 to the T-56....I know that Thirdgen Reasource has a T-56 kit for camaro/firebird...I was just wondering if anyone knows where I could get a cheaper one...under 1800????
