Reverse Shift Pattern

What is really the difference between the reverse shift and forward shift pattern valve bodies? I'm looking at getting the TCI Competion TH400 with reverse pattern transbrake. Thanks

For starters, the valve body needs to be "reprogrammed". One option that you take away is the ability to go from drive into neutral.

If a rod bolt decided to come apart at the end of the track, one can toss the car into neutral with a forward pattern. With a reverse pattern, the driver needs to almost stop the car to get it into neutral.

Plus I bang my gears forward in an auto.
