Posi tests?

I am going to the yard soon to try and find a ford 9". are there any test I can do with the car in the air to see if it has posi or not without taking the third member out?

The best way is to pull the the thrid member. With a 9" its not hard. The other way is to spin the dif and have somebody hold the axles. If they both spin the same direction its a posi. If only one spins its not of course. If you are going to put this in a third gen, there is lots of companys selling reman housings with all the brackets already mounted. One guy is always on ebay.

Search for 9" housings on ebay. He usally has one or two normal housing up. I can't remember his name, but he deals with a lot of rearends. If you contact him he can usally shoot a price. Rons rearends or rearend warehouse, something along the lines of that.
